The Boulder County Trans Health and Wellness Resource Guide is designed to help trans individuals make informed decisions about health and mental health care. It includes feedback on services from trusted sources: other trans people who have used the services. Providers can use the feedback to monitor and improve the quality of their services. Resources included on the website can help both providers and clients to work toward effective relationships and good quality of care. Any health or mental health provider in the general geographic vicinity of Boulder County, Colorado, can complete a survey about their services to be posted on the Boulder County Trans Health and Wellness Resource Guide website. Survey responses are posted in the providers’ own words and are not edited.
The Boulder County Trans Health and Wellness Resource Guide was developed by the Boulder County Trans Health Task Force, made up of trans community leaders, LGBTQ advocacy organizations, health and mental health practitioners, and other allies who recognized the need for information on health and mental health services for trans persons in Boulder County, Colorado. The task force has also collaborated on trainings for health and mental health providers covering trans inclusiveness and trans health and mental health issues.
